Eagle Diner in Atdens

Traveling early in the morning and didn’t want to eat at a chain for breakfast. Opens at 5am and is family-owned. Super friendly service, the food is good, it’s a great value and they offer healthy portions. The biscuits are tasty, and I especially liked the hash browns. They were not greasy at all, just straight up grated potatoes. The building was originally a gas station so the bathrooms could do with an update and spring cleaning.

Food is always delicious. Very generous with french fries, staff is extremely kind and welcoming. Never an experience that wasnt great. Highly recommend fried onions on their cheeseburger :)

Good food pretty cheap.thay no longer let anyone smoke in there dinner there is now a no smoking at all any were in the restaurant.In Joy

Eagles Diner was not the best the foods bad it's not it's not where you want to go if you wouldn't be around regular people are in a good environment all it is is a rundown store that don't have anything except for gross stuff on a buffet

Unique place with great homecooked fòod!! It's like eating Sunday dinner at Granny's house (if you were lucky enough to have a Granny).

The food was surprisingly good, the staff was very friendly, but smoking was allowed. I chose the buffet, but they also have a full menu! Next time I plan to get my food to go. This was my first time, and I plan to go again!

I went on a busy Sunday. Cars everywhere. About couldn't find the door. There was a short line. It all looked and smelled great (the food, that is). The actual building is a dump. Dirty and old. I ordered my meal to go. The meatloaf was like cardboard with ketchup on top. The chicken and dressing was ok, but they ran out of cranberry sauce and it was not even noon, yet. The mashed potatoes looked and tasted like they were from a box, as did the mac & cheese. The pinto beans were good, but I mixed them with the cornbread, which was crumbling and tasteless. The banana pudding was wonderful. And plentiful! This cost a little over $14. A bit more than I had wanted to spend. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They are the only reason I would even think of going back to this place. I wonder if I just went on a bad day? LOL Probably not!

Bunch of liars...getting lunch. Either retired or too busy to eat in.You know what I mean. Busy in general because there was good food and excellent company! I don't THINK they knew me, but the Sheriff did seems to be in a hurry to get there before me. Promptly left. I keep mum. Mostly.Smile snd Wave!

Foods good. Waitresses were nice. Slightly dirty tho. Needs a good scrubbing.

Our favorite veggie place in Athens! Staff is friendly, good food. Sunday is grandmas banana pudding and chicken dressing! Try the excellent green beans, pintos and Mexican corn bread. Never eat in because of the smokers but take out is great.

I went here for the first time 2 days ago. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. It was nice and neat and the food was so delicious. I can't wait to come back here again and order something else. I also like how friendly they seemed to be. I will definitely come back soon.

Best bacon cheeseburgers in Town.They also have an awesome hot bar with homemade foods. Banana pie is to die for!!! It's a very family friendly diner. Now it is a NON SMOKING ESTABLISHMENT. We are smokers ut we have not quit going. It's like having a big family Sunday lunch. Its Great🧡💙🧡💙

Excellent food and great price service was awesome

Food was delicious! It was slam packed but only waited in line 5mins. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Also there are several different choices of sides and desserts! I'll definitely be back! Only negative I can say is about the size. If those ladies keep the good work, they will have no choice but to add-on to dining area.

The biscuits and gravy and chocolate gravy and biscuits remind me of what my mama used to make. Great place to eat!

Wonderful hidden gem. Great home cooking. All made from scratch. Nothing fancy just a diamond in the rough. Friendly staff also. They have some daily specials you can ask about when you go.They serve breakfast anytime. Enjoy.
